hi since there were no changes in the last releases to the gus code for midi (the midi playback problems with ppl1.61 patches still exists) therefore I have an idea :-) there are several gustypes like classic, classic37, max, etc how about a new gustype "dosboxsvn" this new gustype uses dosboxsvn …

funny thing when i play doom without the anti loop fix it plays perfect with dosbox-x and pro patches lite but when i play midis with playmidi player or dosmid with ultramid or win 3.11 i get these strange looping bugs (seems only with drum channel) i wonder what doom does differently to play midi …

thx and good to know i found another problem: about gus and midi playback with playmidi player (happens also with dosmid player) with the normal gus patches from driver 4.11 midi files play perfect with dosbox ece, staging and dosbox-x. but when i use the pro patches lite 1.61 all dosbox versions …

Have you tried DOSBox-X with both the fixed cycle setting and a customized vmemdelay value other than 0 (such as -1 or 1000)? PCem by default would generally account for the video memory delay. Wing Commander for DOS has a similar issue, but there was a report that the vmemdelay option does not …

hi i just wanted to report a small bug with dosbox-x. monkey island enhanced cd version has a problem with cd audio. audio is playing perfect until u talk to a pirat in the scumm bar. instead of music u hear only cracks and noise until u leave the bar and the cut scene with le chuck begins. prob …

thx for the info just tested dosbox-x 083.7 and it has the same bug 🙁 guess when u play games from org. cd or from cue/bin images there is no need for flac and mp3 support for audio tracks... wonder how compilcated it is to compile a version of dosbox ece or dosbox-x without the patch....
