thx for the info just tested dosbox-x 083.7 and it has the same bug 🙁 guess when u play games from org. cd or from cue/bin images there is no need for flac and mp3 support for audio tracks... wonder how compilcated it is to compile a version of dosbox ece or dosbox-x without the patch....

here are the 2 files the doom midi file plays ok but when i play the other file 1st (just 5 sec are enough) and then the doom file the overdriven guitar plays with a strange sound

thx for the fast reply it works :-) i just found a small problem with dosmid.... but this has nothing to do with the dos navigator part. happens also when i start it manually i have 2 midi files when i play file 1 it plays ok same for file 2 but when i play file 1 and then quit dosmid and play file …

edit: its a bug with gus playmidi midi player and not with the ppl patches. with dosmid midi player and gus it plays perfect 😀 too bad there is no way to contact old gravis devs to make some small changes to the old playmidi player or get source code of it

If anyone is having a problem with certain PPL percussion instruments looping improperly, I suggest using these replacement patches. They're the same as the original PPL 1.61 patches, but with the looping disabled. hi does somebody know from where Tsyu got the fixed patches ? Tsyu was not online …
