Re: Post your 'current' PC

Interesting builds here. Interesting desktop cases too. It seems what would have been considered a 'gaming case' about 8 years ago, is now just a 'case'. It also seems beige is a thing of the past full stop? Unlike Black which came, went, then is back again, will beige ever be back again ? : …

Post your 'current' PC

I know, I know. But as I was cleaning out my PC for dust, I thought it might be an interesting topic, and whether most of you have a modern PC that you mostly spend your time on. Here's mine, In a few months I'll be making a new one. I can't play some games that I want to on this spec machine. AMD …

Re: Post pics of your CRT monitors

Here's mine, been using it since I was a kid. I've always liked it. I did have another one exactly, in better condition. But ultimately this is the one I kept because the gamma correction doesn't need to be so severe compared to what the other one was. Do monitor outputs get darker with age, the …

in DOS
Unfortunately my monitor is a tad on the dark side, and even on full gamma with the monitor controls, I need to increase it again within Windows. I also use the same monitor on my DOS machine (and any machine actually- through a KVM). However, I wish to play Witchaven again, but it's simply too dark …

Im actually surprised XP lived that long, I mean looking back Microsoft tended to support their operating systems for around 6-8 years at best. Although interestingly I do know some people who still use …

Re: Retro Rig Photo Thread

Seeing as i'm new, i'd like to show off my hardware. My 3dfx box: This motherboard was my grandpa's, who gave me his computer in around 2007. He was moving an no longer required a desktop (has laptops now). The board has bulging capacitors, so at some point I need to get around to replacing them, I …
