You can configure GZDoom to be quiet accurate. Or try GLBoom, or Crispy Doom. There is sure a sourceport which works for you. Or try some troubleshooting. No one has to suffer through dosbox for an id game 🤣

Why you dont use a sourceport for this game?? GZDoom for advanced engine or prboom+ for purists.

I expected it to use the maximum desktop/monitor resolution. But instead it uses maximum aspect ratio resolution. So for NFS HP2 it doesnt use my 2560 x 1600 monitor resolution and it uses a weird 4:3 one instead, because the ingame resolution is 800x600. But my game is already widescreen patched, …

I really hope you can figure this out, because it must be somehow possible to bypass it. nGlide runs the games uncapped on glide.

I get with resolution "Max" a 4:3 resolution of 2133x1600 When I select my native resolution of 2560x1600 directly I get it. Shouldnt Max be the maximum available resolution without any aspect ratio considerations? (which in case of NFS HP2 even dont make sense, because I have a patched exe with 16: …

There isnt. And like said: There is screen tearing. so it cant be vsync. It is somehow a fps limit.

What I found quite interesting is, that some games work on the Direct3D12 Output better than Direct3D11 Output. For example in World Racing 2 I had the problem that I had no numbers etc on the speedometers. Only with Direct3D12 they're there 😀 I have a nvidia card.

For what reason Unreal is set to singlethread? The game works absolutely fine without limiting threads to 1. I also wondered about this with the gog version.. __ Can your patch for Tomb Raider 4 combined with dgvoodoo 2 to apply 8x MSAA?

Vsync combined with no triple buffer? no good that. PS: NFS 4 works with nGlide at 2560x1600 @ 8x MSAA with butter smooth 60fps all the time and even on full grid weather race. So for some reason the problem relies in dgvoodoo.

My favourite now is NFS HP2, AFAIk only the ingame resolution can be choosen, but now the menu screens can also be scaled up to high resolutions. There is in rendercaps.ini possible to set the menu resolution, but if you raise it, you wont get it stretched. It stays original resolution and gets …

I've also learnt that DirectX versions 7 and below have artificial limit when it comes to game resolution. It doesn't allow any resolution with width or height exceeding 2048 pixels. Can supposedly be patched, but still. DirectX 6 is even limited to 1280x1024, because Blood 2 crashes if you go …

You reached a wrapping without vsync? I never got it working. Every game which goes through dgvoodoo is for some reason vsynched on my end.
