Damn, using a 133MHz FSB should really push things for the K6-III+, it's a shame it is so tough to get it stable. I have a K6-III+ 400 ATZ and a GA-5AX rev. 4.1. At 400MHz, it requires a mere 1.6V and at 550MHz, I've found 1.9V to be totally stable and have run it like that for years. However, …

One day I was working on my power mac g5 when a power outage hit my office. The power came back later but never did the mac. I think its PSU is dead. Another day I rebooted my computer for updates and it couldn‘t find the boot drive. That was how my SSD died.

I think the order you install the drivers really matters. Especially if you use an older NVidia driver which have functionality if they detect certain chipsets that they disable AGP. The VP970/870/560/760 have 3dlabs drivers for 98, it's just the Pros that don't [880/990]. The 98 drivers don't have all the features. It seems 3DLabs provides the same driver w9x_3000_1536.exe for all VP cards. Did you mean the driver doesn't have all features for the Pro's or am I missing …

Did you try setting the jumpers to x2? K6-2+ should take it as x6 anyway. Did you check the data sheet of the clock generator on your board? Update: The seller send me another board and meanwhile I picked up a good ol'CRT from my neighbor's garage. But unfortunately the CRT can't get any signal from either of the boards. Well it's odd that both boards came with crippled VGA.
