Did some testing on breadboard with few 74hc244's, did work fine but have not yet made any further progress.. anyway we started using a atmega88 and using internal timer and some buffers in memory for emulating the fifos, instead of r2r ladder, pwm is used. but my friend had no time to continue this …

Can you add some Hole on the upper side of the Board, it would be useful to screw daughterboard to the ARGUS Card. i'm making a version of sergeys opl2 isa card for the ISA Header, and it would be nice to screw them togehter :) also i'm still very satisfied with the ARGUS Card, i run it as default …

Athlon XP has no Thermal Control. It simply burns if you overheat it. Except your Motherboard offers some protection..

i spend half the day rewiring my prototyp card and trying different approaches to make it less noisy. it seems i had some success and full reroute is in progress, also optimizing the card for "building kits" is in progress, Placing all capacitors in same direction and ic's.. 😀

Hm i never got any VGA Card with EGA fully compatible with EGA. Many Software still detects VGA.. and often you can't change that behavior. Connecting a EGA Monitor to a OAK for example will not give you what you expect.

set your sn76489 output level lower to reduce noise level. i already added some fixes to get the noise down in new version. trying also to supply all ic's with own supply.

688 Attack Sub for example has no way to choose the portadress. As far as i know the BIOS cares about LPT, so it can be possible it asks system bios for lpt1 adress ?

Yes 😀 i never heard maniac manison on original tandy.. but i found out that variants of SN76489's are sounding slightly different.. maybe this can be used for pseudo stereo 😉
