CPU frequencies in "emulators" section may be higher for CPUs having "boost" like i7 3770. As DOSBox uses only 1 core, then 3770 should work at 3.9 GHz, not 3.4. try echo y|C:\CTCM\CTCU /S but if the message appears in config.sys by DEVICE=C:\SB\CTCM\CTCM.EXE, and hence befor autoexec.bat, then it would not help. maybe there are command line settings for these utils switching on 'quite mode'.

As it's not a problems of DOSBox, the general idea is to ask Infocom or other developers of text games. Different hardware and its settings have different limits and compatibility (try to increase free conventional memory, for example).

When using the tv2x, tv3x, scan2x, or scan3x scalers for 320x200 games, if I set aspect = true, the scanlines are not even. If I set aspect = false, it looks fine. My i7 has all cpu features enabled, including boost. It boosts with 100% load and 8 threads in hyper pi, so not sure why it doesn't want to in dosbox. It's weird. You may try to close or to hang concurent apps to one core and run dosbox on another, so you'd have less cores active and hence more …

Except some doubts about frequency wich was better to be monitored by CPU-Z. I don't share your resume that 2nd results …
