Still didn't really answer why you would need to do this swap. Not only is a stock CT1740 not noisy at all (i own the same card) it will only complicate troubleshooting issues/faults with your specific card.

Interesting, so even on that series they omitted the CT1748 in some cases. Still a nice card, though i find the CQM a little harsh sounding.

Nice. Must be one of the first versions the publicly released i assume? Since i haven't seen any rev1/2 cards out there in the time i been looking for one. Its not my main card though, i mostly use a CT3900 with a DB50XG.

Dont know where these are made for specifically. Arent your outputs suppose to sit on the wavetable connector side? (same with the X5) This because if it were to be used in an older soundcard the connectors will be right against the sockets which seems like a design-flaw.
