Re: Fury of the Furries lagoon flickering

Reminds me of Quarantine - got the CD version, but can't find that copy protection cheet anymore. It was a dark red leaf, with black text on it, really hard to read if you didn't have the lights turned on. I copied it in Excell years ago to make it easier to read in the dark, but I lost that too :S …

Re: Megarace 2 Vesa problems

wd: In older versions Megarace 2 refuses to start because it lacks 24 or 32 bit modes. I don't know the video modes but I know the screen is about a third bigger than the visible area as I can move the mouse pointer way off screen at the bottom. red_avatar: My non ripped version does vesa detection …

Re: Megarace 2 Vesa problems

I'm using the same build - but perhaps he's using a ripped version (which exists) which doesn't have VESA detection during installation? To be honest, I have very very few graphical problems in VESA anymore since a few months using the latest CVS's. I'm surprised at how many games I can play …

Re: Megarace 2 Vesa problems

Hi I've got CVS 20060201 and it finally runs Megarce 2 however the graphics are messed up. I've seen this problem on a real machine and I think it may be a vesa problem. I've attached a pic of the menu. I also find that it kills Dosbox when switching to fullscreen unless the output is set to "ddraw …

Re: some questions...

I think you'll find Resident Evil was NEVER released in DOS version. There was a version which had early 3D card support though, which is a pain to get to work on a current PC. So he was in the wrong place all along 😜

Re: Little Big Adventure 2 problem

Haven't tried it yet because I forgot that my CD of LBA2 is burried among the many other hundereds of games i'm cataloging at the moment. I'm using a program called Game Collector to make a list of all the games I have, including a box shot, year or release, its platform (DOS/Windows/etc.), etc. and …

Re: Little Big Adventure 2 problem

Ah, that I could try - I have one of those nifty G15 gaming keyboards from Logitech with LCD screen (would be awesome if DOSBOX could show cycles and stuff on that display by the way!!) and keys that light up, so the software may interfere. I'll try disabling that!

Re: Little Big Adventure 2 problem

I take it you don't have an LCD screen ;) if you had, you'd know what fuzzy edges I was talking about. An LCD screen has ONE native resolution, and any other resolution will deform the image. For mine it is 1280x1024 which means that LBA2 will have unsharp edges because it uses a different …

Re: Compushow can't detect files?

Well I thought the screenshot was pretty clear that it was installed ;) and it's not corrupt. It's highly unlikely that any files extracted from a setup file are corrupt because it would throw up CRC errors all over the place. Besides, I got the file from several sources and they all give the same …

Re: Little Big Adventure 2 problem

The problem is, DOSBOX IS the best way of playing LBA2 for me, simply because I own an LCD screen and the Windows patch makes all the edges fuzzy, making the game look blurry. DOSBOX lets me play the game extremely sharp, with no fuzzy edges, at full screen. Also the Windows version has a few more …

Little Big Adventure 2 problem

I tried this with several CVS and 0.63 and I run into the same problem every time: the game seems to repeat a certain key I enter continuously. For example, if I start the game and turn right, my character will keep turning right. If I jump, it keeps jumping, etc. Extremely annoying and really …
