Weird... did you flash the BIOS with the one from Gigabyte? Maybe your board was in some OEM machine and they had a special locked down version of it. And even if the one from Gigabyte is also locked down for some strange reason, it should be possible to mod that BIOS to unlock the missing settings …

Are you 100% sure that there are no bent pins in the CPU socket? That's the only other thing that I can think of that would cause it to not run at a higher multiplier. Very nice. I've never seen a 1Ghz Slot A T-Bird in person though I do have a couple 900Mhz ones that I rescued from being thrown out over 10 years ago.

Is it the Power supply that's the problem or motherboard not supplying 5v to the ISA slots ? I am using a 500 ATX PSU. Pretty sure there isn't going to be anything that work with Windows 9x or older. XP is probably the oldest that you would be able to use a newer scanner on.

If you look up the datasheet for the CPU, you should be able to figure out what pins to connect in order to force 1333 FSB.

I wonder if the motherboard lets you set the FSB manually. If so, then you can have a nice overclock with a mobile CPU.
