Re: PCEm. Another PC emulator.

in PC Emulation
News that PCem project has been uploaded to bitbucket.org. This is welcome news, especially since the web site allows a more friendly environment for developers. Branches may be created for open source projects, members may collaborate, and then developers can save space/commit annotations by …

Re: An enhanced Winquake client

I have a (partial) list of 64-bit changes that apply to Winquake, but not yet able to test it. Noted that the necessary changes for Win32 to Win64 is simpler than converting for Linux. In the meanwhile, I tested 32-bit Quakespasm (QS) where the GL renderer approximates the features of the software …

Re: An enhanced Winquake client

It appears that your port already has the MGL dependency removed. The SDL code is much less tested and incorporating it may require debugging across both quake and SDL code. However, if the above SDL port shows stability over time, then it would definitely be worthwhile to add it to engoo. The mingw …

Re: An enhanced Winquake client

Where there are directx rendering issues, the attached patch allows for a …

Re: An enhanced Winquake client

Winquake-Z. Attached is a binary and source code patch of Winquake-Z, and the binary is archived along with the required SDL.dll library file. This third version has Winquake-X features and disclaimer, but instead SDL handles the video and other peripherals; the major difference is the SDL/OpenGL-HQ …

An enhanced Winquake client

Winquake-X. Attached is Winquake-X, a derivative of the original Winquake with file-based music (tested with OGG), custom video resolutions at default video aspect (directx8), hor+ scaling, and inclusion of essential fixes only. This is a Quake engine; but it is not a "Fitzquake" derivative engine, …
