this is an amazing work no doubt about it. too bad the inerest is so low didnt expect that. i will be good also some improvements to sb emulation it was hellish back then before dosbox release and vdmsound is only on xp. if an improvment is made it will be a good patch on even x86 osses

dual core, 6 core, 12 core cpu, it doesnt mater the win98se will use only one. you still need a second pci-e slot for a win9x compatible video card. if you have a pci slot you can use a soundblaster too. if not they are usb soundblasters. keep in mind you need to use ahci in sata configuration to …

sure the 750ti is a waste. it also make things like dosprompt to hang the whole os for one minute every time that needed to launch.

the instalation is still going strong. i also use a compatible 9x video card and a soundblaster my mobo has 2 pci-e slots after i use the 6800gs for use with the 98 instalation the issue with slow dosprompt is now gone and i play everything ok. i do this for play old games.

ok wdm is no go for you. but strange with wdm i get general midi on both doom2 and blood but no opl at all. on my newer and better retro rig the ich6 system with pentium 4 i ditch sblive because the dos driver is uncopatible with the southbridge. im using now the aureal vortex 2. there are still on …

are you sure those delays arent happening because. of slow cpu?? when my old mobo dies and moved in a newer ich6 mobo with pentium 4 at 2.8 ghz i didnt notice any slowdowns not even on silent hill 4. one of the last win98 compatible games.

i never had any problem with wdm and win32 games . but maybe i m lucky and dont have a problematic game.

aureal vortex 2 works ok and the good thing is it doesent need any ems. heres the comparison, in all windows game is superior to sb live. but back when i have the p3 mobo the live has better audio in dos but for pure dos the live need ems when the aureal does not.

instead of buying a soundcard for a possible uncompatible mobo, i buy a p5b-e plus mobo that has the reserve irq for legacy option, for now. and posibly later i willl buy a better audio card.

im trying 2 games blood with 3dfx patch and tomb raider. both failed with cant find dll. about settings memory to 64mb also with more or less ram. output all options surfacepp-np opengl etc. voodoo settings all options like auto opengl etc. the build is the final.
