Some CF adapters don't ground pin 34 (PDIAG) - making it fail UDMA66 detect. Connect pin 34 to pin 30 (or other ground pin) + cut trace that goes from 34 pin to compactflash card. Credit : 0xCats

That error indicates bad connection in 6-pin plug. Either on cards end (pin inside 6-pin are crushed/bend), or PSU plug side has trouble with wires (going into plug). Lastly PSU may have deteriorated capacitors that can't sustain stable power under heavy load. I recommend checking 24-pin ATX as well …

Going from 70Hz to 60Hz always creates timing problems in some 70Hz specific DOS games, keep that in mind.

Main problem with 720x400 is that you have to actively force it to be 4:3, since by it's own pixel ratio - it's detected as ~16:9 resolution by LCD panels. About USB to PS/2 : Not every USB mouse will work with PS/2 passive adapter (it needs to be "dumb enough"). As such, not all combo ports on boards support simultaneous mouse + keyboard inputs (as you now know).

It "translates" some instructions from procesor, so that MB knows what to do with data that come from it (very basic understanding, not accurate, but I think good enough for simplicity sake). …

Titanium HD doesn't have official drivers for WinXP, I think you will need moded ones (like Daniel_K's) for it to work.

Except for the fact that the number of PCIe lanes on 1155 is horrid. 1366 has 40 while 1155 has 16 or 20 if you have a XEON. 1155 also only has dual channel RAM while 1366 has triple. Do you have space for another box ? Sandy is faster per thread/MHz than Nehalem. So basicly everything LGA 1366 does, LGA 1155 does better. If you want to argue for pros, you COULD make 1366 Windows 98 PC, it's hard but possible.
