For analog gameport flightsticks the Gravis Analog Pro has always been my mainstay. I really like it; the buttons are nice, it's easy to set the resistance exactly how you want it, the calibration never wanders, etc. You can find them for ~$15 USD on eBay usually.

That's cool that it's working, but your solution seems kind of convoluted... how about using FreeBasic? It supports COM ports. Edit: Just use the #lang "fblite" command at the beginning, and your QB code should run with minimal modifications.

Nah, that's fine. DOS 4.0 was considered the "Windows ME of DOS" after all, so it does fit well here. And yes, it is ridiculous - you could also use a Hercules card instead and and run Windows 3.0 in CGA mode with SIMCGA (does that work ?) Ho ho, I'm going to have to try that in DOSBox. Good Luck! …
