Same in Romania. Today's crappy brands: ACTIV, Delux, Eurocase, Floston, Inter-Tech, Spire. And there's the middle ground all over the EU: be quiet!, Xilence. I like to stick with Delta, Seasonic or as a last resort FSP OEMs or originals.

You could also skip one or 2 generations and upgrade to the 2xxx or 3xxx series. They use PCIe to AGP bridges but otherwise would run way cooler.

You cannot beat a Mikrotik in flexibility and price. They also have config examples for most usecases online. Cheapest ones are 5 ports 10/100. The hEX series is the ones you want. The info should be right on the cards in the form of a datecode. The AZT2316R is supposed to be nice, the ALS100+ is the latest of all, it's even found integrated on some late Socket 7 mainboards.

Just be aware that FSP still uses crappy capacitors in most of their PSUs (especially lower end like this). They will run fine for about 2-3 years and will not blow up afterwards, but you do need to check on them regularly. Powerwise you're ok with the 90W this provides on the 5V & 3.3V rail. It …

The first optical drive I bought was an Asus 40x CDROM (cd-s400). It has a ffwd button that also doubles as a speed changer (press longer and it reduces speed in 4 steps). If one of your units has this feature I'd say it's a keeper.

Try to search for the Quadro FX 3000. Was thinking of buying one, but my common sense prevailed. For now 😀. Highend cards tend to run hot, are much more complex than the top midrange ones, therefore I tend to believe they are more prone to failure.
