E660 is 2 cores running at 2400 MHz with a 1066 MHz fsb. Q9400 is 4 cores running at 2666 MHz with a 1333 MHz fsb. I would set it the same as an AMD with WB. It won't damage your CPU if it's wrong. They are the same on the Asus PVI-486SP3

You can safely cut/break the 10th pin off the board, as it is not connected to anything. Just make sure you remove the correct pin.

I'd start by setting it up with a 120W or greater PSU, and see how much it draws from the wall to be sure. The earliest ATI card that the power draw is known for is the Radeon VE and 7000, at 23W. Don't know any more than others here about other parts.

Turns out the DVD burner in this system doesn't support DL discs - can't even read them! Rather odd, given that DVD movies are generally DL. I swapped it out this morning with a Blu-Ray burner with M-Disc support that can read anything, so can get on with my reinstall. Only thing the new drive can't …

It's not rivets, it's pins that can be pressed out with enough force. I can't remember how I stripped slot 1 processors like that 15 years ago, but it can be done. You have to be careful not to damage the circuit board though, it's not a simple task.

Using an NVME drive via adapters sounds like a waste of money to me. I can't see it being faster than a basic SATA 3 SSD when sending and receiving data via PCI. Good luck if you can pull it off though 😀

I don't understand why anyone thinks having any kind of hobby is odd 😀 My collection will hold its value, spending the money clubbing or getting drunk won't supplement my pension if I live that long 😀

🤣, of course 😀 I wouldn't be looking for a perfect match, as many cases are slightly different anyway. If I had a 3D printer, I'd probably go for bright colours anyway, coz that would suit my taste and clash less than the wrong beige 😀
