It's really slow at 115200 baud (around 0.8MB a minute) but it's better than nothing. At least now I know the approximate pain of downloading software from a BBS of the time.. I remember downloading from the Microsoft BBS (among others) at 2400 baud. I could set up a download session, go out …

So exactly how does this thing combine two sata hard drives in to one IDE interface? Does it have some sort of onboard RAID-0 setup? If so.. you won't be able to install Win9x on it. Win9x won't work with any sort of raid anything even basic raid-0. It just won't, there's no way around it. The …

VIA bought out Cyrix, and their CPUs started with the early C3 Joshua/Samuel at around 400 - 500 MHz. Ezra are around 800 to 933 MHz, so are all more powerful than the fastest K6-2+ and K6-III+ chips. Ezra-T, AFAICT, were in the range 800 - 950 MHz, not sure how they differ from Ezra chips.

I've always said Windows Three point One One and MSDOS Six point Two Two. In the case of MSDOS, 6.2 had a defragger that violated some copyright, so they removed it and called it 6.21. 6.22 added a new defragger, so it was a minor upgrade, not the 22nd in a hidden sequence. IIRC, it was an issue …

I use diagnostic cards when testing old hardware. They can save a lot of time when troubleshooting problems. I've lost the sheet telling me what different codes mean though, that's a PITA.
