The colors are fine on the original 2.0 PCB design. I have sold around 20 kits using that PCB and no color issues were reported. Some of dreamblaster's prototypes appear to have color problems. I'm not sure what the cause is or if CGA is affected.

Here is a simple color test program I made, along with screenshots from my LCD with the converter. The colors look the same on my CRT. (The top pic looks a little washed out, but that's just my camera.)

It probably doesn't matter, but you have 2% resistor arrays on your BOM.

It's difficult to tell. I think maybe your dark gray is too light. We should probably be using a proper EGA color test program to compare. Are you using 2% resistors?

This might work but you'll be limited to 1 ISA and 1 PCI. Personally I'd invest the money in a better case. Will the cards install vertically without hitting the top of the case? If you want to be cheap, you might be able to just cut the back out.

The converter actually works with my KVM switch (keyboard only though, mouse doesn't work). But that's not a cheap experiment if you don't already have one.

Could be. It may also not appear as a standard USB keyboard (does it have a special driver?) You could try putting an externally-powered USB KVM in the middle.

I don't see what the problem is. Most USB keyboards are less than 100mA. I tried it with a Keyrah, an Amazon USB keyboard, and some other USB keyboard I had laying around.
