I had a similar issue with a PCChips motherboard as well. CTMOUSE 2.1 works on that motherboard, but 2.0 does not, so give that a try. EDIT: Sorry, I see you already tried 2.1b and it didn't work.

ICH3 is a revision that wasn't originally supported in the source code. I just added the device IDs of ICH3 through ICH7 to the detection whitelist in the source code, not knowing if that would be enough to make it work out of the box. The i440BX chipset on the Asus board has no problems with 133MHz, but you might want to check first whether your expensive Voodoo card likes almost 89MHz FSB. I had the exact CPU when I ran into issues with the FSB at 100mhz, as I had described. What's the harm in trying to lower the FSB? It's a quick and easy test 😀

Which processor are you using? SS7 can be quite picky for running the FSB at 100mhz. I had to downclock mine to 98 for it to be stable. Try bringing it down to 66mhz as it's the safest setting, see what happens.
