What improvements does the ARK2000 have over the 1000? MPEG decoder perhaps? Does anyone know? Never did find any spec sheets for either chip.

I have Me installed on my Tualatin build and 98 installed on my K6-2 (as well as several OEMs). To be honest, Me has nothing over 98 aside from universal USB storage drivers (which can be added to Win98) and System Restore, and most people disable that so at that point it's just 98 without …

Its someone using Linux for these machines? Ss backup and for copy files and usb,networking etc.. it could be handy. Which distro and which version is best one? New distros i thing have some old HW deprecated they require lots of memory, minum 700 MHz cpus etc.. its too much for Socket 7 machines.. …

1. No, DOS doesn't care either way, unless you are using a very late Socket 370 board like i810/815 that lacks ISA slots. 2. With G400, I wonder about the visual differences between TurboGL and the full ICD. I'm curious if they obviously cut corners to run faster. Review sites didn't really look at image quality back then. Stumbled onto this motherboard, CPU and RAM combo so I made an offer, will likely get it. God knows I don't need another VX motherboard but onboard PS/2 on an AT Socket 7 board kind of compelled me. I meant the game looks pretty good for its time 😀 Yeah it predates the MT-32 so probably patched it in later but if it DID patch the MT-32 support in at some point it is still technically the oldest game to support the device.
