Interesting that they didn't just use a PCIe bridge chip. Were PCIe 1.0 bridge chips unavailable? These cards were heavily promoted with Nforce 4 SLI motherboards. First question - what is the order in which the memory and terminators are assembled? 2 RIMMs followed by 2 terminators. From CPU to edge of the board. Second question - if i want to use only one module of ram, then i need 3 terminators? Impossible by design. Only 2 or 4 modules.

Well, Chia is supposed to be more "eco-friendly" due to much lower electricity consumption, but the truth is - it won't affect successful cryptos much, which are based on ASIC or GPU. Smaller increase in heat production is still increase. Not to mention wasting energy for a useless goal, in the …

Is it possible to run them on this mobo? Anything without HT should be good. And CPUs with HT may not boot at all on Gigabyte motherboards. Overall, I see no benefit in looking for one. Intel 850 chipset is easily overclockable to 133 Mhz and RDRAM multiplier can be lowered too.
