1. Killed my dx2-80 system software-wise doing scandisk with "normal" rather than "lba" in bios. 2. Got once again tricked by those strange gods that invented "serial a and b" connectors.

So, i finished this for now. I got myself a rs232 switch for the mouse. Filename WP_20190713_002.jpg File size 166.58 KiB Views 425 views It is working with my momentary setup. Just have to switch the mouse before booting/starting windows.

Finally had some time to begin working on my ps/2 model 30. It has some indiana jones like layer of dust, so i started to dismantle it. Except cleaning i'm thinking about replacing all the elkos. What i diddn't realise is that (beeing IBM) the psu is not screwed together but riveted.... *grrrrrrr*

So now i have 4 different switches. Amonghst them the one by Belkin. I would test them tomorrow, if someone of you would be so kind and babysit my twins 😉 Seriously i'll test them this weekend (i hope).

After a ps/2 model 30 (286) i got something even older now: Some XT Clone, this (and the ps/2) is far before "my era" but it was a good opportunity. Seems to be fitted with a hercules card. I got an fujitsu desktop dx2-66 just with a glued heatsink, no fan. Also i could swear (which i won't do, as i could be wrong 😀) that my dx4-100 i got back in the day came without a fan.

I used thermal adhesive tape (Akasa) for my dx2-80. Holds so far. But it's not the biggest heatsink...
