You could check the reset signal c16 from what I understand reset should be present on boot then go down, I actually have this problem on one of my boards where reset is stuck on constant 5v which means it won't let the cpu progress further in boot

I edited the post, was measuring the wrong pin.. cpu reset pin is ok. I measured the 14mhz crystal next to the clock gen with a voltmeter in hz mode it showed nothing. Showed a 6mhz for a moment then 0 Just to be sure I measured the 32mhz crystal for the bios and that showed up properly so my …

Cut the 5v line to the chipset, like its been said its dead anyway and only takes 2 seconds to make a solder bridge over it if you need it back

You could cut the rail where it goes to the chipset and see if it is still shorted, if not just solder that section back on, then repeat again as u cut sections off the 5v rail and test them all for short. Hopefully u can isolate which section is grounded and what exactly is connected to it

this seems to be a 2d issue to start with. Check the legs on the chips. The gpu gets pretty hot stock, if you haven't experienced one before it feels like its overheating when its not

I got the config file saving, I got it to work somewhat unfortunately I think pc speaker output is not as sensetive and accurate as adlib/sblaster. So there is still a bit of a gap where pc speaker is louder then sound blaster music but slightly better. Adjusting pc speaker 1 more bar down will …

thanks, i downloaded the vibra 16 dos drivers. Found the mixer you showed under mixerset.exe however the settings are not saving. I will investigate it more soon when I get some more precious time 😀
