The Creative Stage Air is not bad and not very expensive. I have one on my PC. It has a 3.5mm input and the internal battery is charged over USB so I just leave it plugged into a USB port. Plus it's Creative so you can pretend it's retro still 😀

Just won an eBay auction for 99 Amiga magazine cover floppies :) It's weird - I got an Amiga 600 a year or so ago and modded it immediately with an SD card/HDLoad etc. and can play every game ever but I don't find myself ever wanting to do this.... but give me a bunch of floppies and I can explore …

Just swapped out the very noisy Samsung 2GB HDD from my IBM PC330 for a 2GB CF card. Unfortunately all my other IDE drives are under 1GB or 17GB or higher and it doesn't seem to like them. Weird though - the HDD activity LED no longer works???

Nah, that's okay for the moment! The Trios aren't super rare yet. Just please don't throw the card away, if possible. The EPROM could still be useful, for example. It could be used inside emulators, for example (DOSBox uses a Trio32/64 predecessor, btw). Or maybe it has a higher VBE level (VBE 2.x) …

Just ordered a cheap S3 Trio64 card off eBay which has socketed chips which appear to be the correct type. Bit sacrilegious buying a whole graphics card just to steal its RAM but it was the cheaper than buying the RAM chips 😁
