The little A icon in the top right is an AOPEN trademark. 386 motherboard with VLB manufactured by ACER/AOPEN likely for OEM, but no one knows what it is. It has a AMI bios? If it boots read the bios string.

the cpu isn't a concern. Main thing for me is can I run AGP. If you can run AGP and Core2 at the same time than do it. ya I do not understand the SB Pro rage. An ESS 1688 sounds the same, has a IDE controller, not a proprietary and doesn't hiss or have bugs. I learned that a long time ago. Needless to say Id take a quality brand like BTC ESS 1688 Audio Drive with Proper jumper config and a IDE over any SB pro card …

Most the old stuff isn't that good. Take Creative for example, they made lots of models and many parts, but awe64 gold is the only one people really want, becasue its the only one that is really good. Intel used to put those on P4 heatsinks, and people didn't remove them before seating them on the cpu and couldn't figure out while the thermally throttled. anyways thers no evidence that sticking aluminum foil between your cpu and heatsink dissipates more heat than just applying some quality …
