Re: dgVoodoo 2 for DirectX 11

I see ZellSF is posting a lot of games. Is there a compatibility list somewhere ? I played around 10 games with dgVoodoo 2 so far from start to finish, but I just post about it on PCGamingWiki pages if dgVoodoo fixes a game, or if it can improve it in some way(resolution, HUD scaling, etc).

Apart from a "no dvd-check" on the x32 executable, an editor manual which you can find online anyway, and some "2 HD wallpapers + 3 avatars", nothing new. They usually remove the DRM and sometimes if you're really lucky they receive some bonus content from the developers you couldn't find online. …

Re: Forsaken - too many resolutions

Speaking of this limiting resolutions and bit depths business I would like to mention Army Men RTS. It is programmed to list the first 22 available resolutions, and since it shows 16 bit ones too, the options menu shows only up to 1280x1024 32-bit. Other resolutions can be forced with dgVoodoo, so …

I don't know where to ask this, so I will try it here... I have the DVD version of the game, but I see it has been released on GOG now. Is there any difference, did the GOG version get any new patches which the retail game didn't get ?

Re: WinG

Thank you so much for explaining the history of it. It sounds as if it worked pretty well for its purpose at the time albeit short lived. I doubt there are many titles at all that used it since DirectX took over so soon afterwards. I agree with you now that I know it’s purpose/lifespan. Thanks …

Re: dgVoodoo 2 for DirectX 11

( Well, close enough ). What's off? Just little things. Nothing game breaking. Light beams go straight through Sam. You can see this in the vent on the first level. You won't notice it much through the game unless you try to. EAX emulation is spotty on Realtek onboard audio. It sounds better than …

Re: Windows 98 VM

dgVoodoo 2 uses DirectX 11 which is not supported on Windows 98. However there is dgVoodoo 1, to wrap Glide on Windows 98/2000/XP. I don't know will that work in a virtual machine though. Thank you so so much for the response. What exactly does DgVoodoo1 wrap to or do? But, it says it right there …

Sorry for the bump, but if some random Internet wanderer ends up in this thread, like I did, do know; - You need to do the hex edit thing posted on the first page of this thread (if you don't want or can't use Microsoft's Application Compatibility Toolkit). - To fix the graphics rendering issues you …

Re: Inject SMAA ?

Dege wrote: I don't want to add ReShade-like functionality into core dgVoodoo (ReShade is way greater anyway 😀 ), but SMAA antialiasing options could be included after all, into the 'Antialiasing' combo box on the CPL. Thank you for considering it, that would be great.

Re: dgVoodoo 2 for DirectX 11

There's one glitch in you graph, not a recurrent stuttering. If you read my post that is what I described, ONE stutter in each of those places. But those are places I mentioned where I can easily recreate it, while I play the game it happens occasionally in many areas. By the time I go off that …

Re: dgVoodoo 2 for DirectX 11

I would be happier if you climbed the ladder and finished the slide, and posted your dgVoodoo and system specs, maybe it would be useful. At least I learned that I could do more with MSI AfterBurner and RTSS than just limit framerate :D I get framerate/frametime spikes on my graphs: https://i.imgur. …

Re: dgVoodoo 2 for DirectX 11

I'm also experiencing stuttering in Pandora Tomorrow. Not too much distracting, but it's there. I can recreate it in first level; when I approach or look up up the first ladder, or when I slide on the rope right next to it, there is always one stutter. While we are at topic of stuttering, in …

Re: dgVoodoo 2 for DirectX 11

Has anyone noticed that when using dgVoodoo 2 for Splinter Cell (1) the game stutters quite a bit? And it easily repeatable as well, I notice this stuttering in some areas of the game more than others. It's not deal breaking, just slightly distracting. I noticed it. In the first mission inside …
