I guess your onboard graphics ET4000/W32i is direcly connected to the 486 bus. So the performance is the same as on a VL bus. Therefore I do not recommend to use a graphics card on ISA bus. However, the amount of graphics ram is a bit low.

I don't have had problems with my EISA 2740W using ASPI7DOS.SYS and DOS based Ghost 2003. My translation is C-255-63. I don't have created partitions beyond the 8 GB limit. What translations are in your partition sectors?

Try to use 8 MB RAM (8x 1 MB). (30 pin, 70 ns, FPM). I don't think there are 30 pin EDO SIMMs. A DX2/66 should be fine. Take the ET4000 graphics card.

To minimize CPU usage I'd prefer SCSI HDDs. Anything from 2 to 8 GB should be fine.
