It looks like the turbo switch / turbo LED pins are dual purpose.. one use for energy efficient sleep, and the other for turbo functionality. Did you check the BIOS to see if there are any green/sleep/power options you can disable?

You'd have to design your own using a software like KiCAD, Altium, Eagle, etc. But yes, I have already made several turbo displays. The projects are posted here on Vogons and on my Github.

Well, the 10-pin display needs to be multiplexed, so you're going to need integrated circuits, unless you want to build the entire thing out of discrete gates using transistors which would be ginormous.

Many original turbo displays just used some simple transistors to perform the display switching. You can view old datasheets for them, since some show the circuit design. Example..

Cool story. You're only drawing a dozen or so milliamps for an ISA card requiring -5V, so heat is a non-issue.

Not necessary. It barely gets warm. Also, you don't want to run the 12v line through the board since the traces aren't rated for pass through at the potential amperage draw.

I simply using an arduino nano or just an ATMega328 plus one of those 0.36" 7-Segment Display TM1637. Fits perfectly and way cheaper. Plus you can program it to your own taste.
