Could someone tell me, these games uses AWE32 for music or SFX playback? If game uses AWE32 for SFX playback loading soundfonts is useless because game talks to hardware directly. Current emulators can not emulate AWE32, they know only midi and soundfonts will be heard when they are used for midi …

You can load soundfonts manualy with recent windows sound cards. Old nForce2 drivers had such capability ( version 4.xx yes, ver 5.xx no). All Soundblasters PCI too.

As I said, know about this address with manuals. Emulator without ROM is useless, the same is with broken hardware CM-32L. The best way is to use wavetable synth (if it uses GS or XG have CM-32L sounds, 16bit quality, no hiss) with midi filter-splitter to load custom samples via DirectMusic. Roland …

It would be better to get LAPC-I ROM than CM-32L. LAPC-I has more features than CM-32L. "The LAPC was a CM-32L on a PC card, with enhanced sound effects and additional user patch RAM." LAPC-I is most feature packed LA synth.

There are other bugs. This one was only example. Some games simply do not work because of buggy SB driver. Emulation of alternative WSS or PAS could increase chance that game will run.
