I got this card and it was jumpers issue.... Does exist Matrox dos utils to test card and memory? Now must put remainings vram to fullfil 4MB
Weird issue with Alaris Leopard and HDD

Mobo is after leaking and replaced affected elements. None traces are damaged (by visual looking). Issue: it can't boot with HDD controller but with XTIDE on network card and disabling bios hdd parameters - yes. Suggestions? I swapped bios from my second working leopard.

Small update. My goal is making Ultra+ version. So I bought donor (V7100 Pro) with very fast memories (4.5ns = 225MHz). Factory ASUS card with 32MB uses the same pcb. The card recognizing only 16MB and hangs up after loading drivers. Without drivers there is no artifacts. Any ideas?

It doesn't matter as long is compatible with 010 pinout. So you can use W27c010, 29c010 or eprom like m27c010 (which is also eraseable).

I have this card in 16MB version and will upgrade it with fast 32MB memories If someone has this card and can dump the bios then please. I think that bios will be the same but would like compare them. and also would like NVflash in 3.X version.

When I get next one MFM drive then using XTIDE-CF I make a backup of content then wipe drive to put fresh DOS + utils. So I initialize disk, create partition and always the same problem - can't set active partition as system is already booted from the first drive (XTCF). How to bypass? Without …

@vmswift Thanks for dumping bios. It is a 6 days newer version than mine. Cyrix still doesn't boot with it, but I am happy that could setup properly Am5x86. My bios with G6.

If you don't have extractor & programmer then using NSSI or something like that you should dump the bios.

with my but G6 rev, works too. Now I could setup Am5x86 properly. Cyrix doesn't boot. Please dump bios, maybe it will help

Desoldered cache chips (ok) and replaced Opti 295 chipset from the second alaris. Still problem with A20. will desolder logic chips below simms. Maybe one is faulty.

Currently I use FIC 486-VPT mobo for testing (old) cards. Now I am thinking about switching to VIP. FIC based VIA is not so good. Pc chips M919 (umc) or ASUS SP3/AP4 (sis) is better with pci compatibility?

SIMM sticks will be too easy issue. I cleaned contacts. Sometimes in the past I had broken simm connector. Will check carefully using magnify, but don't believe that it is issue.

it boots with strong delay and shows message about a20 gate. when I swapped with other keyboard controller then boots immediately but stop before calculating memory and endless reset loop. I can try desolder cache firstly...

I try to rescue this motherboard. No mechanical damages, accu leaked very minimal. Traces around accu were good, only elements were affected with green ****. I desoldered keyboard controller and put socket to replace with other chip. Not helped. Pin of 8042#22 - is not connected anywhere so problem …
