Hi, Somebody is sending virus infected email spoofed with my email adress (the sourceforge one) It's a message with a attachment -> zip file in which is a .pif file which contains the virus. I don't have the virus. neither do i send the messages (I'm a linux user and it's a win32 virus) Today alone …

Try experimenting with the cpu cycles but never put them too high( soo high that your workload on your pc is 100 %) This will sometimes help

As you see speed is a big issue. It's not that the protected mode support isn't full blown (it's quite complete actually) it's just "slow". But that is an issue being worked on, but you would require quite a fast cpu before you can run duke3d (which actually runs with the right settings)

If I was you I would put my dosgames on a seperate fat32 partition. I don't know how the other dosses would get NTFS working but it will always be worse then a win98 bootdisk. AFAICS they would use a TSR (which takes away some basememory) or they would have written their own dos and believe me it's …

When protected mode was introduced in the gaming world Graphics became more important than gameplay. So I'll stick to the not so real games. (But yes, protected mode support is partly present)

Try setting the compatiblity mode to win95 You can do this making a shortcut to the installer.exe and looking in the compatility tab.
