I was going to say that I’ve had a couple Trident cards that ran 16mhz I had a generic ide multi-io that ran 16mhz Network cards and Sound cards gave the most trouble

Those used to have a jumper to limit to 8.2gb. With a bios upgrade or the XT ide project you should be able to handle the drive. Dos 6.2 is best for a drive that big If you want you could try using a 540mb setting and just using the drive, understand that the drive will then only work in that 286 …

Sounds like you might need to add 3.3 volts to your pci slots There are a variety of projects and solutions you can search for on this forum to solve. Re: Adding 3.3v to pci Remember also you have a version of the earliest type of pci Good luck

Seems like a version of Jill of the Jungle can be made to run on an 8086, albeit slowly Test drive the dual And a bunch of other shareware like chopper. There are others that will run on an XT albeit again slowly

I’ve had larger than 120gb HDs in windows 98 In one case my 200gb only had 120gb usuable in the other my Athlon Barton system supported large drives and I had to use a utility

Reminds me of French airports running 3.11 There are mil and space spec x86 chips, most common being good ol 386dx chips which were found on space telescopes. Harris 286-25 came in a mil / aerospace spec as well

What was the last pci matrox to have 9x and 586 support? Probably 400 series I think not. Parhelia was targeted more for professionals, which were using NT for a while at that time (2002). There was no point in wasting resources for supporting dying home user OS. ME was only a couple years old. …

Clean then ozone Peroxide and baking soda can be used also, if the cables are yellowed you could try retrobriting which combines peroxide and sunlight. Take care with the conductors themselves though peroxide + steel can be bad. Admittedly cigarette stink is quite difficult to remove completely but …
