Re: SIV support for 386/486/586 class + Alpha CPUs and 3dfx + S3 + SiS + Matrox + XGI + old ATI + NVidia GPUs - Testing

dimm-status3.png I have been trying to figure out why only the SMBus-A were getting retries and I think I have figured it out. Basically the SMBus-B retries were being counted as SMBus-A retries as the context was wonky. I suspect I have fixed this in the attached SIV64X 5.47 Oops-02 which also …

Re: SIV support for 386/486/586 class + Alpha CPUs and 3dfx + S3 + SiS + Matrox + XGI + old ATI + NVidia GPUs - Testing

I fully support the idea to now stop investigating on that issue, the effort display SPD info and temperatures of the DIMMs is way too high. Thank you and I also feel we need to leave this for a while. I suspect I look out for a cheap DL580 G7 on eBay and once I have one I suspect I will make some …

Re: SIV support for 386/486/586 class + Alpha CPUs and 3dfx + S3 + SiS + Matrox + XGI + old ATI + NVidia GPUs - Testing

There must be still bugs in the displaying part From SIV main screen I can't tell and to sensibly comment at a minimum I need to see what [ DIMM Status ] reports. As Martin has already said with these types of issue it's rather tricky to know what is happening without having a system here. What I …

Re: SIV support for 386/486/586 class + Alpha CPUs and 3dfx + S3 + SiS + Matrox + XGI + old ATI + NVidia GPUs - Testing

Sure. Thank you and given there are retries I expect some other software is accessing the SMBuses at the same time as SIV :( Looking at what is running it may be C:\Program Files\HP\Cissesrv\cissesrv.exe so please will you stop the CISSERV WIN32 service, exit then restart SIV and see if the retries …

Re: SIV support for 386/486/586 class + Alpha CPUs and 3dfx + S3 + SiS + Matrox + XGI + old ATI + NVidia GPUs - Testing

stc info: Thank you, I can see the Sensor Thread Load is now 57% which is what I was hoping for. Looking in the save file at [ DIMM Status ] then I don't see any wacky temperatures, but SIV had only been running for 28 seconds and done 14 updates. Please will you post a screen shot of [ DIMM Status …

Re: SIV support for 386/486/586 class + Alpha CPUs and 3dfx + S3 + SiS + Matrox + XGI + old ATI + NVidia GPUs - Testing

CoffeeOne wrote on 2020-03-03, 21:08: Rage II is listed in GPU info, But isn't it mentioned normally on the main page, too? Thank you for running the test and the GPU names are not listed on the main panel, but if you hover the mouse over the GPU-0 the Tooptip should report it.

Re: SIV support for 386/486/586 class + Alpha CPUs and 3dfx + S3 + SiS + Matrox + XGI + old ATI + NVidia GPUs - Testing

hwinfo does not have that issue, see the first 50 dimms Thank you for checking this out and I still can't see why SIV get's the issue and wonder if it's down to timing. SIV does each SMBus transfer with one call into the driver and HWiNFO makes several so maybe SIV is "too fast". I have made some …

Re: SIV support for 386/486/586 class + Alpha CPUs and 3dfx + S3 + SiS + Matrox + XGI + old ATI + NVidia GPUs - Testing

I hope you can figure out the temperature thing on the DL580 G7 So where is the SPD info? Only 4 modules this time. The type of RAM is not shown. Where is the graphics card? It's an onboard ATI Rage Pro based one with 4MB, should be pretty standard, shouldn't it? Thank you for the new post and SIV …

Re: SIV support for 386/486/586 class + Alpha CPUs and 3dfx + S3 + SiS + Matrox + XGI + old ATI + NVidia GPUs - Testing

CoffeeOne wrote on 2020-03-01, 20:11: All 64 cannot be shown in one screen with my setting. Yes, that is why there is a scroll bar on the right. The panel is 1008 x 1278 and your screen is only 1920 x 1080 so SIV added the scroll bar. I am still pondering the strange temperatures, does HWiNFO also …

Re: SIV support for 386/486/586 class + Alpha CPUs and 3dfx + S3 + SiS + Matrox + XGI + old ATI + NVidia GPUs - Testing

But what about the DIMMs with bad SPD? I should be able to identify it (with the help of SIV), right? Do I have any disadvantage from it? Thank you for you testing and I will plan to release Beta-01 later this evening. Once I have released it then we can look at the wayward temperatures. Ii would …

Re: SIV support for 386/486/586 class + Alpha CPUs and 3dfx + S3 + SiS + Matrox + XGI + old ATI + NVidia GPUs - Testing

All I did after the first run is deleting something from the registry with the command you posted. Thank you for running the test and posting the log file. I think I have worked out the issue, it's a simple off-by-one error, but it only happens with IMC muxing and PCH/ICH muxing is not affected by …

Re: SIV support for 386/486/586 class + Alpha CPUs and 3dfx + S3 + SiS + Matrox + XGI + old ATI + NVidia GPUs - Testing

Unfortunately I have no save local for that run. Thank you for your testing, but looking at the save file from the 2nb run I can't see why there is an issue. Did you run HWiNFO before the 2nd run? Maybe it trigged the issue. Please do siv64x -dbgsmb -exit=30 > SIV_DBGOUT.log | more and post the . …
