My friend just bought ISA RAM card for his IBM and it turned out it is Pravetz RAM640 card. It has DIP switches and he does not know how to set it. Does someone have any scheme for it..?

I love soundfont bank manager of Audigy2. DOSBox can use it as GM device and with a good sf2 it sounds better than Sound Canvas. Guitar Pro sounds great too (if you use it). Sure, you can use TiMIDIty or something similar but it is more CPU demanding with a big latency. But as dionb already said, …

The problem is GK1 resets the mixer and ESS cards have the unfortunate default that AuxB (the port that WaveBlaster cards connect to) volume after a reset is zero. You can check this with ESSVOL. Whatever value was given to AuxB volume it is set to zero by GK1 (and Master, Wave , Synth volume are …

I've got nice little 486 desktop for repairs but I cannot find any documentation anywhere. Like the board never exists. I also have no clue what the hell is the oscillator-hacked chip supposd to do.

I am ill so I have some time for retro stuff. Today I made composite mod for ZX Spectrum 48k+ from scrap yard, installed OS8.6 on my beige G3 and then put HDD to fat PS2 a played Rule of the Rose for he first time. What a nice day 🙂

It's the kind of ultimate CRT Does it support 15kHz..? ;) I was recently wed when I got my first Trinitron... so I had to buy 2... LCDs still being sell a kidney price at the time. Then we both upgraded to 19" Acer LCDs in due course. Though she managed to swing an ultrawide now, where's mine? lol …
