It does. We will be trying other DSPs on various cards. We would also like to know if the missing note-offs are also resolved as part of this or if that is an intrinsic problem of the CT1747.

This happens while the OAKCDROM and MSCDEX drivers are not loaded. I have an elaborate AUTOEXEC+CONFIG which bypass everything but HIMEM for loading the OS. I haven't tried loading these drivers before starting Windows, though.

I have used an external USB drive with Win98 without issues well over 128GB. My current setup uses a Pi and an SMBv1 share. I think it’s strictly a limitation with the onboard HDD controllers and BIOS at the time.
