MDF/MDS is a disk Image created by Alcohol 120%. Did you extract the files inside OR what did you use to mount the image ? If you did not burn the image to cd or extract the image files properly then that could be the issue.

My experience with early 440BX motherboards is that they work with Deschutes p2 and 100mhz 2.0v Katmai p3 (up to whatever multiplier was on the board) but some Mendocino on a slocket were an issue unless the BIOS included CpuID's specific for them. Something about having a H suffix in the CpuID …

Use the SB card you have and disable the cdrom interfaces, then use a secondary IDE with a good cdrom. I have a CT1740 with DSP v4.05 and a Matsu/Pana cd interface but use my secondary IDE port for the cdrom. i never cared about soundcard cdrom interfaces before, but found it important on 386 …

No they are all proprietary on the SB16 MCD versions. There are many SB16 with IDE and one came with SCSI.

One thing we know for sure: the board had a battery, whether external or onboard. CMOS typically draw 4 to 10uA to keep settings so even if a 1k resistor is used it would supply 3.6mA max to the cmos which is more than enough to keep it alive and not damage it.

Yes sounds like Amiga if D0 was jumped. I found a picture off ebay and zoomed in shows just D1 and RY jumped. added: found the reference to RY-DC vertical FD-235F-100, is for an Amstrad/Schneider. Korg uses straps on RY, DC and DS0 with a note that you must change from DS1 "is for PC's"

Have you read about the i740 ? It is one of the worst performing AGP cards and "In August 1999, after less than 18 months on the market, Intel withdrew the i740 from the market." Do some Googling and you will see lots of bad reviews. I suggest you get a differant video card...

Is it a Asrock 4CoreDual-SATA2 or 4CoreDual-VSTA ? The 4CoreDual-VSTA requires BIOS v1.80 to support Q6700. The 4CoreDual-SATA2 supports it on all BIOS.
