Thanks but are you sure that actuall has the manuals, BIOS, and drivers for all 250+ EOL motherboards ? Seems mighty small since I grabbed 1/2 the Manuals and BIOS only and it exceeds that amount. Hmm you don't have an old AT style KB that has the nice XT/AT switch on back laying around ? They work great for testing purposes. BTW picked up a Leading Edge DC-2014 xt KB for $5 at a thrift store a few months ago, was very clean and works great, not as nice as a model F but am not complaining 🤣

Everything looks good. J7 is set correct. Are you sure you have the PS/2 port wired correct ? I have a pinout from Asus that shows their 6/8 pin PS2 port for most 486 and pentiums like this: 1 2 3 4 : 1 =Gnd, 2 = Data, 3 = NC, 4 =VCC, 5 = Clk, 8 =NC 0 0 0 0 0 - - 0 5 6 7 8

Hopefully that will work, according to the manual for UM4981 AIO R2.1 the CMOS and RTC are located inside the UMC8498F main chip. You could also try shorting pins 2 & 3 on the ext. battery connector (with computer off and ext. battery disconected)..

checked a few manuals and the Shuttle HOT-553 has the Data and Clock (pins 1 and 5) swapped on the motherboard connector compared to the image Repo Man11 posted, the others pins are the same.

I can't find anything yet but can tell from your good pics that the board only supports 33Mhz 386 and has 32k cache. Comparing to the later rev on Stason.org would say with great confidence that SW1 is for cache size and SW2 is for ram size. It appears the cache is set to 32k and ram is set for 4Mb. …

Could be a supply issue. Do you have a digital voltmeter ? If so check the volts while it is connected to the motherboard and turned on. page 44 of the manual shows the CMOS clear jumper (J48). Are you sure the ram is good ? Have seen old boards report bad video card when the ram was the real issue. Also if trying an ISA card put it in one of the ISA/VLB slots or the ISA nearest the PSU power connectors.
