On an unrelated note, I find it hilarious that some people in that thread tout 320x200 as a "native 16:10 resolution". It seems that non-square pixels and CRTs are a completely unknown concept to these guys. No one had a widescreen monitor in their home during the late 80s and early-mid 90s.

Yes, you need a memory manager to load the Audigy DOS drivers. This is one of the reasons why I keep my Opti ISA card for pure DOS gaming and only use the Audigy under Win98.

Just a quick addendum, MP3s from other websites load fine for me. For example, I can tap on any of the MP3s from here and they play properly: https://www.wavetable.nl/doom/ It's just the MP3s that are attached on this forum that don't play.
