I have found out that there are native 800 x 600 LCDs ie: touchscreen POS terminals, with a 12'' diagonal. Response time is quite high, 25 - 35 ms.

GTX 970 has official drivers for windows xp - 344.11 In my experience, 3xx nvidia drivers are not working correctly in windows xp, with older games. 1xx are fine.

The midi bank of V3 sounds great. However, for older games, I like X2GS more: its sound signature is "tighter" and harsher and it fits better the music of that time.

I would keep the geforce 2 mx 400. Reasonable performance, HW T&L, will cover a longer gaming period and compatible with 45.23 Detonators.

I spent one more day trying to install / reinstall windows 95 / 98. I find it quite hard to believe that windows 9x would not work with a standard 8bit VGA ISA card, but guess I will have to call it quits on this one.
