Re: PowerVR Fun Thread

Q3 Gold from GOG Xeon 550Mhz @ 666MHz :D 128mb ram <- I think my issues are memory related actually, tried a different stick or two and Q3 crashed instantly no matter what setting. Need to find at least 256mb that works and run memtest 440GX @ 120MHz FSB GL Driver: Default GL Ext: on Video Mode: …

Re: PowerVR Fun Thread

The problem appears for me when I slide the texture detail setting all the way the right. If I pulled it back one notch, no problem. Alright progress.. It's sensitive to AGP aperture size.. On my 440GX platform 128mb aperture -> fast hard lock 64mb aperture -> fast hard lock 32mb aperture -> plays …

Re: PowerVR Fun Thread

So I've got a fresh install of W98SE OEM. Plonked on Q3 Gold from GOG. Installed the earliest drivers and later ones from vogon drivers. Tried the early opengl32.pvr (rename to .dll and plonk in the dir) as well as the MiniGL config program and set to QIII folder. I don't see any corruption like …

I managed to get a 3070TI late last year at 'rrp' for GBP750 from a smaller retailer just as the restricted hash rate cards came in stock. Thought long about it as it's the most I've ever paid. Went for it in the end because the 40x0 series will likely have no win7 support. (and feeling lucky to …

Re: PCie-to PCI, PCI to ISA, # of slots multipliers - bridges, risers, backplanes, research, especially for DOS, WIP.

Hi Omores, I have one of these but never tested it for retro goodness, only for HTPC soundcard use. For me the great feature is that an external PSU can easily be used, potentially a linear one for clean audio. It worked in X58, Z170 motherboards, I will try it in a W98 build when I can.
