My installation of Windows XP came with it in windows\system32 folder. Funny how they drag along unchanged piece of software from 1995 with they OSes. 😀

If you are on any Windows version since Win95, edit.com is included with Windows, just look for it in Windows folder and subfolders and copy it to the folder you mount in DOSBox.

AFAIK, Red Alert CDs come with both Win and DOS versions, but C&C Gold CDs with Win only.

I changed frequency to 1 and it still doesn't download from selected mirror unless I manually change the link and remove mirror name after , Really strange. Edit: It works even when I pick mirror and remove "?use_mirror=" part of the new link. Then it downloads from selected mirror.

Using Firefox 3.5.2 here, and IE8 crashes when trying to download from Sourceforge, 🤣.

Looks like Sourceforge is broken, whatever mirror I pick, it downloads from garr mirror. Can anybody else try? Just tried, Sourceforge picked this one http://garr.dl.sourceforge.net/project/dosbox … 2-installer.exe and it's corrupted. Someone should try to check all mirrors. Edit: Google search turned up other people complaining about that garr mirror and corrupted files on it.

Scaler hq3x renders 320x240 and 320x200 with aspect true at 960x720 resolution. The scalar won't do anything more. Maybe that resolution is not supported by your graphics card/monitor so it does who knows what to show it in nearest supported resolution. Possible solution would be to set …

Have you tried lowering Hardware acceleration and unticking "Enable write combining" in Troubleshoot section of Display Properties-Settings-Advanced window?
