I had another issue with Radeon X850XT 8x AGP. I wasn't able to install drivers on the Win98SE. For Radeon X800GTO no issues on the same system. I don't try any glide drivers as prefer to use hardware.

I have an MT-90s and I personally think it is much worse than my SD-20 is on the quality of the samples it contains. Also, I'm pretty sure Duke 3D doesn't sound like that on my SD-20. It is possible that they had that thing configured to some crazy levels before recording it. But yeah, I was NOT …

Tones, Polyphony and Standards make impact on way how result sound will be generated. For me its not comparetion of something is better or worst. If you get Roland SD-80 expecting an upgraded Sound Canvas, like an SC-88 Pro with a 44.1 kHz signal path, you will be quite disappointed. The backward compatibility is no good, and it means MIDI composed for SC-88 will have different balance, missing effects, or will just sound bad. Very nice …
