Oh, I thought it required QEMM for memory management. I think QEMM only works on 386 CPU systems as it requires extended memory capabilities / protected mode... I spotted a US Psion 5 on ebay, but at $180... owich. Not saying it's not worth it, just that my budget is a bit tight for that much. It'd be neat running X11 on a Psion 5, then sshing onto my Linux phone with it! (I'd need a USB-C to RS232 converter). I wonder if one could run Desqview/X on the …

I was surfing vintage stuff on ebay, and came across some PCMCIA (non-cardbus as well as cardbus) cards with dual RS232. Are you sure the read/write speed is better, or does it just report better results due to the timer to calculate them running faster ? If you say copy a large file, and manually measure the speed with a stopwatch, does it really copy the whole thing that much faster ??? ~21.27 seconds and ~18.23 …
