I think it is a very basic ATI rage card. Ati Rage Xpert@Work (agp). That might be the problem. I use it because it came with the system and I want to keep it original.

I tried and liked the ATI version but it probably needs a beefier pc than my P2 @400 MHz and a ATI rage at work or what it's called, the FPS was maybe 10-15 from what I remember.

Your cable routing is a much better than mine. My system has 4 different kinds of ribbon cables in it. IDE, floppy and two different kinds of SCSI, where one is from a controller card in the other side of the computer to an old cd burner. Lol It is a retro mess!

Worth it, not possible to answer. It is probably the price they go for. It is not totally outrageous at least. I never was able to set the refreshrate on my voodo 2 either. Shadows are only there in software mode, voodoo 1 or ATI rage versions I believe. I like grim Fandango. The settings, the music and humour made me look past the clunky controls. But generally, the imagined requirement on 3D in everything almost killed of the adventure game genre.. monkey Island 4, I have never replayed it. I have no fond memories of it..
