The plot thickens with this graphics performance issue. I ran Final Reality on 98SE and XP with driver version 61.76 (98) and 61.77 (XP) to see what exactly is causing this slowdown. Still no luck on getting this performance issue solved. I re-imaged the computer and tried it with no SB drivers installed, no difference in performance. Turning off PnP is what caused it to refind all the drivers. I would leave it on, letting the BIOS handle IRQ steering unless it creates conflicts. You should reinstall the chipset driver after you turn it off (or better yet, reinstall Windows, as it hates hardware changes). Also get yourself some …
