Do you have a picture of the markings? Im pretty sure Amps is not a value printed on caps. i would guess its more like a manufacturer marking.. maybe a datecode or dimensions.

Isnt one of the PC Speaker connectors +5V and the other one a negative signal? That would explain the exploding rectifier.
