Thank you. Tried using that. It still recognizes the drive with 000.. serial and it cannot select the drive.

I forgot to say I tried on other 2 functional motherboards and it causes the same issues. Even in Windows 98 it causes some sort of conflicts.

I have a PCPartner Baby At motherboard. It seems that it refuses to make mouse and USB keyboard work. I can confirm USB keyboard works when using in BIOS but doesn't work anymore on booting Linux, Windows 98 and even restarting to DOS mode. Do people here have experience with this issue? Thanks.

Sounds like some key is actually internally stuck on it, perhaps there's some dirt inside or other problems. Mark out all the odd behaving keys and do a mechanical inspection on them. Sorry for necroing. Actually this was the issue! Thank you so much. I used AquaKeyTest to notice the PageDown key …

C1 is is a memory detection / size check. If it's not getting past that point, it sounds like a RAM related problem. I put all Dimm modules and now it doesnt beep and it showed more messages. But it still closed off. I had to power off the PSU to repeat the test. C100 -> 0CC1 -> C30C -> C5C3 -> …

I tried putting an AGP card in there and I realized it is able to power it up because the fan of the card spins. That just means the 12V rail is conducting into the slot. It's not a sign of very much. There are also 5V and 3.3V rails going into the same slot, the fan doesn't confirm those, and we …

Now strangely it doesn't beep anymore and it still closes itself down. I suspect is something related to shorting or power issue. I inspected the motherboard and the capacitors seem to be fine.
