Re: Video capture aspect ratio problems

Yeah, thats a possible reason indeed. Of course I could edit it afterwards but if you're doing hundreds of them it becomes somewhat annoying having to do that. Plus, it's just not an accurate capture. Would this be hard to fix? I know releases are rare but maybe somone wants to do a custom build 😉

Video capture aspect ratio problems

I've finally tried out the video capture feature but ran into problems. I have a widescreen monitor (laptop) and all the videos come out in widescreen resolution. I want them to be in their original aspect ratio though. I tried setting force aspect ratio ("aspect") to true which does help with the …

Re: DOSBox 0.73 Discussion

Well actually the starting directory/cwd, but yes that is right. That is intentional for portable instalations and people who just like having the configfile there. The "weird" loading is primary for new users. All old ways are still supported. It's one of those annoying Vista guidelines. I don't …

Re: DOSBox 0.73 Discussion

If you have a dosbox.conf file in the same directory as the EXE file then it'll automatically use that one instead. Well actually the starting directory/cwd, but yes that is right. That is intentional for portable instalations and people who just like having the configfile there. The "weird" …

Re: 255D Disk?

in DOS
As my DOS machine is not with me right now I could only try it out on a XP machine. My 360K floppy drive is supported by the BIOS and XP and I've backed up >100 disks with it already. So it's definitely working. Among those was a 180K disk iirc. So it's kinda weird that it doesn't read this one. I …

Re: 255D Disk?

so, I checked the manuals and there's a "How to Load" instruction. It says HOW TO LOAD TEMPLE OF APSHAI EXPANSION MODULE IBM: 235D, 255D So there it is again, together with 235D which can hardly be a mistranscription. I guess those are kinds of either IBM machines or IBM disks from back then ( …

Re: 255D Disk?

in DOS
you can see a scan of it here: http://www.mobygames.com/game/dos/dunjonquest … meCoverId,3641/ that's not my scan and one can't read the sticker clearly but it says 255D. You might be right that it's a fault by the guy doing the box though.

Re: 255D Disk?

in DOS
I mean 255D cause that's what the box says. I'm afraid just trying to read it with my 360K drive because it's such a rare game.

255D Disk?

in DOS
I just got a rare DOS game in it's original box etc. (Temple of Apshai: Curse of Ra) but it's a 255D 5.25 floppy disk (at least that's what the box says). How the heck can I read the disk? My only 5.25 drive right now is a 360K drive.

Re: D-Fend Reloaded (DOSBox frontend)

Well, this isn't the best screenshot to show the problem but it is clearly visible at the hand and also the face to a lesser extent. DFRL http://www3.picturepush.com/photo/a/1481726/img/1481726.png Original Screenshot http://www4.picturepush.com/photo/a/1481727/img/1481727.png
