Thank you for everyone’s information so far. Do any of these cards stand out for early 90’s gaming? They don’t sound like common cards, hopefully drivers won’t be a nightmare to find. For DOS gaming I recommend #2 and #6 personally. Both are stereo and SoundBlaster Pro type cards that don't need …

The coolers you've posted will work just fine. But I highly recommend the Startech copper cooler. I've never seen that slotket you're using, so I can't comment on that. The silkscreens indicate coppermine compatibility, but usually coppermine slotkets have a voltage clamp IC on them. I think you …

You dont have all that many options for 1Ghz PIII, I would be surprised if you could find both on sale easily because of the 100MHz FSB. They aint common because they werent popular, everybody seemed to have preferred the 133FSB over the 100 but many did go to industrial PCs, as I have seen dozens …

You dont really need to worry too much about steppings, stepping are just very minor revisions in the silicon to correct errata that doesn't affect the CPU itself. in this case I'm guessing the revision was to the power management of the CPU which adjusted the voltage slightly, likely to provide …
