Re: Star Fighter 3000

Have you tried using the debug version of DOSBox to determine what files your version of Starfighter is trying to access? (ykhwong's CVS build from here works.) The copy protection also might be a simple matter of the game trying to read the CD's volume label. Try using the -label switch with mount, …

Re: Star Fighter 3000

Really? That's quite impressive, considering how rare the game is, supposedly. Does the install still create a directory named KRISALIS.CD in whatever directory you mount as C: ? Does the demo at http://www.3dgamers.com/games/starfighter/downloads/ work? Maybe its readme has some insights. (That is, …

Re: ROTT Setup in Win95

I am thinking that you do not have DOS CD-ROM drivers loaded, but I cannot be sure from the information you have provided. What drive letters do you have in Windows, and what drive letters do you have …

Re: Sound Blaster 16 No Midi In Windows 3.1 Or Dos

in DOS
The specific problem I am thinking of was something I solved way back when I wanted to play Epic's "Dare to Dream". Included with the game is a picture of this MIDI Mapper setup: http://i16.tinypic.com/66njifs.jpg as well as the file sbsetup.txt which I have attached. Perhaps this information is of …
